Misuse can result in a fine of $250 for the first offense and additional penalties for subsequent offenses. Furthermore, individuals who submit false information to obtain a placard may face fines of up to $1,000. The Chief Administrator is required to notify the Attorney General and law enforcement agencies regarding the issuance of these placards, ensuring compliance and enforcement of the new regulations.
