The legislation also introduces new provisions for individuals experiencing homelessness, allowing them to receive fee waivers if they provide proof of temporary residence through a social worker or emergency shelter coordinator. The Chief Administrator of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission is tasked with reporting annually on the fee waivers granted under this provision. The bill is set to take effect on the first day of the thirteenth month following its enactment, although the Chief Administrator may initiate necessary administrative actions beforehand.
