The bill expands the list of eligible diagnoses to include autism spectrum disorders, communication disorders (specifically including stuttering), and Tourette Syndrome. It clarifies that the diagnosis notation will be limited to the driver's license, non-driver identification card, and motor vehicle registration information, without requiring a secondary document. Additionally, the bill mandates that individuals can submit emergency contact information alongside their diagnosis notation.

Furthermore, the legislation ensures that law enforcement agencies have access to the diagnosis notation and emergency contact information during traffic stops, facilitating better communication with individuals diagnosed with these disorders. The MVC is tasked with developing necessary documentation requirements for individuals seeking these notations and is also authorized to adopt rules and regulations to implement the provisions of the act. This act is set to take effect 180 days after its enactment.
