This bill mandates the inclusion of New Jersey's wine growing regions in the state's marketing and advertising efforts, specifically through tourist directional signs. The Division of Travel and Tourism, in collaboration with the Departments of Transportation and Agriculture, will enhance its existing campaign to promote wineries and viticulture attractions by incorporating advertising for the four officially recognized American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) in New Jersey: Central Delaware Valley AVA, Warren Hills AVA, Outer Coastal Plain AVA, and Cape May Peninsula AVA.

Additionally, the bill outlines the process for wineries and viticulture attractions to apply for participation in this advertising campaign, including the establishment of reasonable fees for the erection and maintenance of outdoor displays. It also calls for a visual arts competition to create aesthetically pleasing artwork for these displays, with oversight from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Garden State Wine Growers Association. The bill is set to take effect 90 days after its enactment.
