This bill aims to prohibit hotels with 50 rooms or more from providing personal care products in single-use plastic bottles under specific circumstances. Six months after the bill's effective date, these hotels will be barred from offering such products in sleeping room accommodations, shared bathrooms, or directly to guests. A full prohibition will take effect one year after the bill's effective date. However, hotels may provide these products in single-use plastic bottles only upon explicit request from guests and in locations outside of sleeping rooms or shared bathrooms.

Violations of this bill will result in a warning for the first offense and a civil penalty of up to $1,500 for subsequent offenses, with each violation considered a separate offense. Additionally, the bill restricts municipalities and counties from enacting any regulations regarding single-use plastic bottles containing personal care products in hotels after the bill's effective date, and it supersedes any existing local regulations on this matter.
