Additionally, the bill retains existing provisions that allow fee waivers for homeless individuals and for certain applicants seeking a duplicate identification card under specific conditions. The new language inserted into the law clarifies the criteria for fee waivers related to public assistance, thereby expanding access to identification services for those in need. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
