This bill establishes a prohibition against casino licensees, their Internet gaming affiliates, and sports wagering licensees from using push notifications or text messages for promotional purposes. Specifically, it prevents these entities from sending mobile device notifications to solicit wagers or deposits from Internet gaming account holders or patrons on their respective platforms. The bill defines "push notification" as an automatic electronic message displayed on a user's device when the platform is not actively open, prompting the user to engage with it.

Violations of this prohibition will incur a fine of no less than $500 per offense. The bill also mandates that the relevant division promulgate necessary rules and regulations to implement these provisions in accordance with the "Administrative Procedure Act." The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
