This bill mandates that proprietary degree-granting institutions disclose their status as for-profit businesses prominently on their official websites, contracts for instruction, catalogs, and all promotional materials created after the bill's effective date. The disclosure must be in a type size that is equal to or larger than any other text on the respective platform, except for the institution's name, and should be designed to attract the reader's attention.

Additionally, the bill requires both institutions of higher education and proprietary degree-granting institutions to disclose their accreditation status in a similar manner across the same platforms. If any materials reference accreditation from an agency not recognized by the United States Department of Education, the bill stipulates that the accreditation disclosure must be reiterated on each page where such references appear. The act is set to take effect 90 days after its enactment.
