This bill mandates the publication of a comprehensive guide for licensure as an integrated care facility by the Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Human Services (DHS). The guide will be made available on the websites of both departments and will cover various health care facilities, including federally qualified health centers, ambulatory care facilities, behavioral health care facilities, community mental health programs, and substance use disorder treatment facilities. It will outline the necessary regulatory and statutory requirements for these facilities to obtain licenses for providing integrated health care and for primary care facilities to offer behavioral health care or substance use disorder treatment. Additionally, the guide will include contact information for department employees assigned to assist facilities with inquiries regarding the licensing process.

The bill also defines "integrated health care" as the systematic coordination of general and behavioral healthcare, addressing a range of issues from mental illnesses to chronic medical conditions. The Commissioners of Health and Human Services are authorized to adopt necessary rules and regulations to implement the provisions of this act, which is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
