This bill mandates that employers include specific information in job postings, such as whether the position is for an existing vacancy and an estimated timeframe for when the position will be filled. Additionally, once a position is filled, employers are required to remove the job posting within two weeks and notify any third-party job posting entities if applicable. If an employer interviews an applicant, they must inform the applicant about the status of their application within the timeframe specified in the job advertisement.

The bill also empowers the Department of Labor and Workforce Development to conduct audits to identify violations and establishes a penalty system for non-compliance. Initially, violators will receive a warning and have seven business days to rectify the issue; failure to do so may result in civil penalties ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. The bill defines "employer" as any business entity in the state with more than 10 employees and outlines the responsibilities of third-party job posting entities in relation to job postings.
