This bill amends the existing law regarding school performance reports, also known as report cards, to include new information about the positive placement of graduates. Specifically, it mandates that these reports must now detail the number of students achieving positive placement after graduation, which includes placements in apprenticeships. This addition aims to provide a clearer picture of student outcomes and career readiness following high school.

In the current version of the law, the report cards already cover various metrics such as graduation and dropout rates, student attendance, and post-secondary enrollment. The inclusion of positive placement data is intended to enhance the understanding of how well schools are preparing students for the workforce or further education. The bill will take effect immediately and will first apply to the full school year following its enactment.
