The accepted documents include a birth certificate, marriage certificate, social security card, divorce decree, or court order. Additionally, the bill changes the timeframe for notifying the MVC of a legal name change from two weeks to six months after the change occurs or upon the next renewal of the driver's license, whichever comes first.
