Additionally, the previous provision that allowed jurors to receive $35 for each consecutive day of service beyond three days has been deleted, ensuring that jurors will receive the $40 rate from their first day of service.

To support this increase in juror compensation, the bill appropriates $6,000,000 from the General Fund to the Administrative Office of the Courts. This funding is intended to cover the costs associated with the new pay rate for jurors. The bill is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
