This bill mandates the Department of Health, in collaboration with the Department of Labor, to create a pamphlet and other informational materials regarding the availability of programs under the "Family Leave Act." These materials will be distributed to health care professionals and licensed health care facilities, particularly those providing maternity care services. The bill requires that these pamphlets be made available in patient waiting areas and provided to maternity care patients upon discharge, ensuring that patients are informed about their family leave options.

Additionally, the bill amends existing legislation to require hospitals to include a copy of the newly developed pamphlet and informational materials in the discharge plans provided to caregivers. This inclusion aims to ensure that caregivers are aware of the family leave programs available to support patients after their discharge. The Department of Health is also tasked with adopting necessary rules and regulations to implement these provisions effectively. The act is set to take effect 180 days after its enactment.
