Additionally, remote services will be billed and reimbursed at the same rate as in-person services, provided that proper documentation is maintained and included in the enrollee's care plan.

The bill also stipulates that adult day health services facilities cannot exceed their authorized capacity when providing these services. Furthermore, the Commissioner of Human Services is tasked with applying for necessary state plan amendments or waivers to secure federal funding for Medicaid expenditures related to these remote services. This legislation aims to ensure that individuals receiving adult day health services have consistent access to care, especially in light of ongoing challenges such as health concerns and logistical barriers that may prevent in-person attendance.
