This bill mandates the New Jersey Department of Health (DOH) to establish a mobile cancer screening program in collaboration with community organizations. The program is to be operational within 180 days of the bill's effective date and will involve deploying staffed mobile vehicles across the northern, central, and southern regions of the state. Each vehicle will be manned by at least one qualified health care professional who will determine the types of cancers to be screened and the methods of screening based on their expertise and available medical supplies.

Additionally, the bill requires the DOH to submit a written report to the Governor and the Legislature within two years of the effective date, summarizing the program's outcomes and offering recommendations for any necessary legislative action. To support this initiative, the bill appropriates $100,000 from the General Fund to the DOH for the implementation of the mobile cancer screening program. The act will take effect immediately and will expire upon the submission of the required report.
