This bill mandates that the owner or operator of a data center in New Jersey must prepare and submit a quarterly water and energy usage report to the Board of Public Utilities (BPU). Data centers that have been operational for at least one year must submit their reports within three months of the bill's enactment, while all other data centers have six months to comply. Additionally, data center operators must notify the BPU of any significant changes in operations or technologies that would necessitate an update to their submitted reports, providing at least 60 days' notice before implementing such changes.
