This bill mandates that various health insurance providers, including hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, health service corporations, individual and group health insurance policies, health maintenance organizations, and state and school employee health benefits programs, must offer coverage for screening for Alzheimer's disease and related disorders for individuals aged 65 and older. The coverage must be provided to the same extent as for any other medical condition under the respective contracts.

The bill defines "Alzheimer's disease and related disorders" as forms of dementia that significantly impair intellectual abilities, affecting social or occupational functioning. The provisions will apply to contracts delivered, issued, executed, or renewed on or after the effective date of the act, which is set for 180 days following its enactment.
