This bill proposes the transfer of the administration of specific nutrition programs, namely the WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program, the Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program, and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, from the Department of Health to the Department of Agriculture. The bill designates the Department of Agriculture as the appropriate state agency to oversee these programs, in accordance with federal laws and regulations.

Additionally, the bill stipulates that any employees from the Department of Health who were previously responsible for these programs and are deemed necessary by the Secretary of Agriculture will be transferred to the Department of Agriculture. It also ensures that all grants and funds associated with these nutrition programs will be transferred to the new administering agency. The bill is set to take effect immediately upon enactment.
