This integration aims to streamline the process for individuals to determine their eligibility for various health benefits plans, including those under the New Jersey Individual Health Coverage Program, the New Jersey Small Employer Health Benefits Program, and the NJ FamilyCare program.

Additionally, the bill specifies that DOBI must implement the integration in consultation with the Department of Human Services, ensuring that the operations of the State-based exchange and the Medicaid eligibility platform are coordinated effectively. The Commissioner of Banking and Insurance is also given the authority to require standardized plan designs for the exchange and is tasked with establishing an advisory committee to provide guidance on the exchange's operation and the implementation of the New Jersey Easy Enrollment Health Insurance Program. The advisory committee will consist of various ex-officio members and public members with relevant experience in health insurance and care services.
