This bill establishes a public awareness campaign and a call center aimed at improving access to various property tax relief programs in New Jersey. The Director of the Division of Taxation, in collaboration with the Stay NJ Task Force, is tasked with creating a campaign to educate residents about programs such as the ANCHOR Property Tax Relief Program, the Homestead Property Tax Reimbursement Program, and others that provide benefits to seniors, veterans, and disabled individuals. The campaign will include information on eligibility requirements, application processes, and available resources, utilizing both electronic and print media for dissemination.

Additionally, the bill mandates the establishment of a call center to assist residents in navigating the application process for these property tax relief programs, with services available in English and the three most commonly spoken languages in the state. The Stay NJ Task Force is also required to submit an annual report detailing the administration of the ANCHOR, Homestead, and Stay NJ programs, including data on applications processed, payments made, and recommendations for improvements. This report aims to enhance transparency and efficiency in the administration of property tax relief benefits.
