This bill mandates that public safety answering points (PSAPs) establish a process to accept alarm scores reported by alarm monitoring centers. These scores, which are based on the ANSI/TMA-AVS-01 2023 Alarm Validation Scoring Standard or any subsequent standards, assess the probability of unauthorized activity detected by an intrusion alarm for each activation. The PSAPs are required to relay these alarm scores to law enforcement to aid in incident prioritization and response during dispatch requests.

Additionally, the bill defines an "alarm monitoring center" as a facility that receives signals from alarm systems at protected premises and has personnel available at all times to respond to these signals. This new requirement aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of emergency responses by providing law enforcement with critical information regarding the validity of alarm activations. The bill will take effect six months after its enactment.
