This bill amends the Fiscal Year 2026 annual appropriations act to change the authorized use of State aid allocated to the City of Newark for Ivy Hill Park. Originally, the appropriations act designated $250,000 in State aid for the construction of a Community Center at Ivy Hill Park. The bill modifies this allocation by removing the reference to the Community Center and instead allowing the funds to be used for general park improvements.

The total State aid appropriation remains unchanged at $945,063,000, which includes contributions from both the General Fund and the Property Tax Relief Fund. The bill does not increase the overall appropriations for the Fiscal Year 2026 annual budget but reallocates existing funds to better serve the needs of Ivy Hill Park. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
