This bill authorizes the conveyance of approximately 219.36 acres of State-owned land located in Lacey Township and Stafford Township, Ocean County, to the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) in exchange for approximately 57.37 acres of land in Galloway Township, Atlantic County. The land being acquired by the State has been occupied since 1964 by the Department of Environmental Protection's Marine Resources Administration, which requires new office facilities. The parcels to be conveyed to the USFWS will become part of the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge and will remain undeveloped.

The bill also specifies that the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is authorized to convey all of the State's interest in certain parcels to the USFWS in fee simple, and it allows for minor adjustments in acreage to ensure the real estate values of the exchanged lands are equalized. Additionally, it states that the provisions of P.L.1993, c.38 (C.13:1D-51 et seq.) shall not apply to this sale and conveyance. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
