This bill proposes to transfer the authority for conducting inspections of on-farm dairy processing activities from the Department of Health to the Department of Agriculture. The Department of Agriculture will be responsible for overseeing these inspections and will work in consultation with the Department of Health and local boards of health to ensure compliance and safety in dairy processing operations.

Additionally, the bill grants the Secretary of Agriculture the power to adopt necessary rules and regulations to implement its provisions, in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
