This bill mandates that pharmacy permit holders, or their authorized representatives, must give written notice to the governing board of the municipality where the pharmacy is located at least 90 days before the pharmacy's closure. This requirement is in addition to the existing notifications that must be sent to the State Board of Pharmacy Office of Drug Control and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

To ensure compliance with this new requirement, the Board of Pharmacy is tasked with adopting necessary rules and regulations in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act. The bill is set to take effect immediately upon enactment.
