This bill establishes new notice requirements for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA), New Jersey Transit Corporation (NJT), South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA), and the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) regarding proposed fare, charge, and toll increases. Specifically, NJTA, NJT, and SJTA must provide copies of any proposal that would create or increase a toll, fare, or charge to the Governor and the Legislature at least 15 days before public notice of the proposal. Additionally, NJTA is required to give 70 days' notice prior to implementing any such changes. The BPU is also mandated to provide similar notice for filings that would result in rate increases, ensuring that the Governor and Legislature are informed in advance.

Furthermore, the bill stipulates that the BPU must share its final decisions or orders regarding public utility filings that lead to rate increases with the Governor and Legislature within 15 days of adoption.
