This bill mandates the Superintendent of State Police to develop and implement a policy aimed at diversifying the civilian instructors and contractors at the State Police Academy. Specifically, the policy will prioritize the recruitment and selection of women and minorities to enhance the diversity of instruction provided to State Police recruits. The Superintendent is also required to conduct an annual review of this policy and make necessary updates to ensure its effectiveness.

Additionally, the bill stipulates that the Superintendent must submit an annual report to the Attorney General and the Legislature. This report will include demographic information—such as age, gender, race, and ethnicity—of each civilian instructor or contractor involved in recruit instruction at the Academy, as well as a summary of the annual policy review and any updates made. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
