This bill mandates that State entities in New Jersey, which issue legally required notices to businesses, must offer an optional electronic notification service for these notices. The types of notices that can be sent electronically include, but are not limited to, notices of violations, underpayment notifications, and employee unemployment claims. Each State entity is required to inform businesses within their jurisdiction about this optional service within 60 days of the bill's effective date and provide the necessary information for businesses to opt in.

The bill defines a "State entity" as any State department or agency in the Executive Branch, as well as any board, commission, corporation, authority, or instrumentality thereof. The act is set to take effect 90 days after its enactment.
