This bill extends the statutory pause on the collection of student growth objective data and introduces a pause on the collection of administrator goals data for the 2024-2025 school year and each subsequent school year until the next expiration and readoption of N.J.A.C.6A:10. During this period, evaluations for teachers, principals, assistant principals, and vice-principals will utilize existing data from the most recent year in which the educator completed student growth objectives or administrator goals. New educators or those without prior records will be required to set and collect data on these objectives or goals during this timeframe.

Additionally, the bill mandates that beginning in the first full school year following the next expiration and readoption of N.J.A.C.6A:10, school districts must implement guidelines for the collection of both student growth objective data and administrator goals data, in line with recommendations from the New Jersey Educator Evaluation Review Task Force. The bill also allows educators not required to complete annual objectives or goals to voluntarily do so for one year, with the scores impacting their evaluations for that year and beyond, unless they opt out in subsequent years.
