The report must include basic information about the data center, detailed energy and water usage data, performance calculations such as energy reuse factor and power usage effectiveness, sustainability indicators, and any additional information deemed necessary by the BPU. Furthermore, the BPU is required to publish the received reports on its website within 30 days and update the information as needed.

Additionally, the bill stipulates that data center operators must notify the BPU of any significant changes in operations or technologies that would necessitate an update to the submitted report, with a minimum notice period of 60 days prior to implementing such changes. This legislation aims to enhance transparency and accountability regarding the environmental impact of data centers in the state.
