This bill amends existing law to allow municipalities to charge reduced or no beach fees for children aged 12 to 17. It also revises the provisions regarding beach fees for veterans, enabling municipalities to offer reduced or no fees to honorably discharged veterans without the previous stipulation that they must have served at least 90 days in active duty or have been discharged due to a service-related injury or disability.

The bill introduces new categories for fee exemptions, including children aged 12 to 17 and veterans who do not meet the previous service duration or disability criteria. Additionally, it retains existing exemptions for individuals aged 65 and older, those with disabilities, active military personnel and their families, and Gold Star Family members. The deletion of the specific service duration requirement for veterans broadens access to beach facilities for a larger group of individuals who have served in the military.
