This bill mandates the establishment of a public awareness campaign focused on the risks associated with gambling and the resources available for compulsive gamblers in New Jersey. The Director of the Division of Gaming Enforcement, in collaboration with the Commissioner of Health, is tasked with creating and implementing this campaign through various media outlets, including newspapers, radio, social media, and television advertisements, within 180 days of the bill's enactment. The campaign will provide essential information on the risks, potential consequences, and addiction rates related to gambling, as well as available resources for those affected.

Additionally, the bill appropriates $200,000 from the General Fund to the Division of Gaming Enforcement to support the development and implementation of the campaign. The Director is also required to report back to the Governor and the Legislature on the campaign's activities and accomplishments within 24 months of the bill's effective date. This initiative aims to enhance public understanding of gambling risks and promote available support for individuals struggling with gambling addiction.
