This bill establishes a prohibition on counties and municipalities from approving the construction of large warehouses on lots located within 1,000 feet of designated historic districts. The bill defines a "large warehouse" as any facility of at least 100,000 square feet primarily used for the storage of goods intended for sale or distribution. It also clarifies that a "historic district" refers to areas listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the New Jersey Register of Historic Places, with the exception of districts designated solely for the preservation of waterways.
