This addition expands the current list of eligible projects, which includes various systems for erosion control, irrigation, and animal waste management.

To obtain these grants, landowners or farm operators must apply through local Soil Conservation Districts, which help develop conservation plans and assess the feasibility of the projects. The applications are then submitted to the State Soil Conservation Committee for recommendations to the SADC for funding approval. This bill aims to enhance water resource management on preserved farmland by facilitating access to financial support for well construction projects.
