Additionally, the bill modifies existing legal language by removing the requirement for the Commissioner of Human Services to submit a proposal for "available" federal funding and instead mandates that the Commissioner must submit proposals for necessary amendments or waivers to secure federal financial participation. It also clarifies that DOBI is required to implement the integration of the State-based exchange with the Medicaid eligibility platform, ensuring that the operations of the exchange are coordinated with the State Medicaid program. An advisory committee will be established to provide guidance on the exchange's operation and the implementation of the New Jersey Easy Enrollment Health Insurance Program, consisting of various state commissioners and public members with relevant experience.
