This bill amends Section 5 of P.L.2024, c.14 (C.18A:6-123.1) to extend the pause on the collection of new student growth objective data and administrator goals data for teachers, principals, assistant principals, and vice-principals during the 2024-2025 school year and each subsequent school year until the next expiration and readoption of N.J.A.C.6A:10. Instead of collecting new data, existing data from the most recent year in which the educator completed these objectives or goals will be utilized for evaluations. New provisions are included for educators in their first year of employment, those without a record of pre-existing objectives, and non-tenured educators, who will be required to set and collect data on student growth objectives or administrator goals during this period.
Additionally, the bill outlines that beginning in the first full school year following the next expiration and readoption of N.J.A.C.6A:10, school districts must implement guidelines for the collection of student growth objective data and administrator goals data. It also allows educators who are not satisfied with their evaluation scores to complete new objectives or goals for one year, which will then be applied to their evaluations. Furthermore, it specifies that educators eligible for tenure on or before February 15 will not be required to set new objectives or goals during their tenure year, while those eligible after that date will need to do so.
