This bill mandates the Commissioner of Health to conduct a study focused on the racial aspects of ovarian cancer. The study aims to evaluate strategies to reduce disparities in the effects, rates, risk factors, symptoms, and outcomes of ovarian cancer among women from various racial and ethnic groups, including but not limited to Asian, African-American, Caucasian, Hispanic, Native American, and Pacific Islander populations.

The Commissioner is required to prepare and submit a report to the Governor and the Legislature within one year of the bill's enactment, detailing the study's findings and recommendations to address the impact of racial disparities on ovarian cancer rates among these minority groups. The bill will take effect immediately and will expire upon the submission of the report.
