This bill mandates the Cannabis Regulatory Commission to create a procedure that allows individuals to voluntarily exclude themselves from entering cannabis dispensaries or purchasing cannabis products. The commission is tasked with developing rules for the establishment and maintenance of a self-exclusion list, which includes procedures for adding and removing individuals from the list, as well as ensuring that all cannabis retailers receive this list. Additionally, cannabis retailers are required to implement measures to prevent self-excluded individuals from receiving promotional materials and to deny them entry to their establishments.

Furthermore, the bill stipulates that any person can request to be placed on the self-exclusion list by formally acknowledging their desire to be excluded. Cannabis retailers are prohibited from serving or allowing entry to anyone on this list. Importantly, the bill also ensures that the self-exclusion list is exempt from public inspection, copying, and disclosure, although retailers may disclose the identity of self-excluded individuals for administrative purposes. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
