This bill amends existing laws regarding the conduct of raffles in New Jersey, specifically allowing licensed organizations to conduct raffles remotely via the Internet. It mandates the Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission, in consultation with the Division of Gaming Enforcement, to adopt regulations for remote raffles within 180 days of the bill's enactment. Additionally, the bill permits the advertising of these remote raffles statewide, which was previously restricted. It also removes all limitations on the value of prizes that can be awarded in raffles and allows remote raffles to be conducted on Sundays, a change from current prohibitions.

Furthermore, the bill establishes a requirement for organizations conducting remote raffles to determine winners and award prizes within 365 days of the raffle's start date. It also mandates that these organizations submit quarterly reports to the control commission detailing gross receipts, expenses, net proceeds, and prize values. This comprehensive approach aims to modernize the raffle process, enhance transparency, and increase fundraising opportunities for various licensed organizations.
