However, it does not apply to toll plazas where tolls are collected via high-speed gantries.

Additionally, the bill introduces new definitions for "electronic toll collection system" to clarify the technology used by the authorities to register and collect tolls. It amends existing law to include these definitions and the requirement for toll displays. The bill is set to take effect immediately, but it specifies that its provisions will not affect any existing contracts or agreements in place at the time of enactment.
