This bill amends the membership structure of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority by increasing the total number of appointed members from 11 to 13, and adding six new members to the authority. The new composition will include 13 members appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate, three members appointed by the President of the Senate, and three members appointed by the Speaker of the General Assembly. Each member will serve a term of four years and will be eligible for reappointment. The bill also stipulates that any vacancies occurring outside of term expiration will be filled in the same manner as the original appointment for the unexpired term.

The bill retains the existing roles of the State Treasurer and the President of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority as ex officio members, while also maintaining the authority's operational procedures, including the requirement for members to take an oath of office and the conditions under which members may be removed. The authority will continue to operate without compensation for its members, who will be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred in the performance of their duties. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
