This bill amends current law to extend eligibility for certain grant funding from the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA) to the Marie H. Katzenbach School for the Deaf. Specifically, it allows the school to receive a one-time grant in accordance with the provisions outlined in subsection b of Section 15 of P.L.2000, c.72. This grant funding is intended to address health and safety issues and other critical needs within the school.

The bill establishes that the SDA will notify districts annually about the application process for grant funding, allowing districts 90 days to submit their applications. The commissioner will then make decisions on these applications within 90 days, allocating funds based on a priority process. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
