This bill amends existing legislation regarding emergency operations plans that sports and entertainment facilities, movie theaters, and places of worship must submit to law enforcement agencies. The key changes include the requirement for these plans to be filed in an electronic format compatible with public safety software systems and to incorporate detailed emergency mapping data. This mapping data must consist of an aerial image of the building, a geospatially referenced floor plan, site-specific labeling of rooms and key features, locations of hazardous materials and utility shut-offs, and other relevant information. The chief law enforcement officer is tasked with utilizing these plans to prepare for mass casualty and active shooter incidents.

Additionally, the bill revises the definition of a "place of worship," reducing the seating capacity requirement from over 500 to over 300 people. This change aims to align the provisions of this law with existing requirements for schools to submit similar data to law enforcement. The bill emphasizes the importance of accurate and accessible emergency operations plans to enhance public safety in these venues.
