Previously, individuals seeking employment with the commission were required to have been actual residents of New Jersey for at least five years. The bill removes this stipulation, allowing for a broader pool of candidates for various positions within the commission.

In addition to the removal of the residency requirement, the bill maintains other provisions related to the employment and compensation of the commission's staff, including the appointment of an executive director and other necessary personnel. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
