This bill mandates that pharmacies in New Jersey provide information about insulin manufacturer assistance programs. Specifically, it requires pharmacy practice sites to display a notice regarding these programs at all points of sale and to provide a pamphlet created by the Department of Banking and Insurance to individuals purchasing insulin prescriptions or requesting such information. Additionally, insulin manufacturers that offer assistance programs can notify the department of their desire to be included in the notices and pamphlets.

The Department of Banking and Insurance is tasked with creating the necessary materials and will adopt rules and regulations to implement the provisions of this act. The bill is set to take effect on the first day of the sixth month following its enactment, although the Commissioner of Banking and Insurance may take preliminary administrative actions to facilitate its implementation.
