This bill mandates the Attorney General to sell a 10.01-acre parcel of land and its improvements, known as the Morris Regional Day School, located at 5 Jean Street in Morris Township, Morris County, to the Morris County Educational Services Commission for the nominal fee of one dollar. The property is declared surplus to the needs of the State and is deemed suitable for educational purposes. The Attorney General is tasked with ensuring the sale is executed within 90 days of the bill's effective date and must consult with the governing body of Morris County if there are discrepancies between the property description in the bill and its designation on the tax map.
Additionally, the property will be conveyed in an "as is" condition, with no obligations for repairs or improvements by the State unless a written agreement is made prior to the sale. The bill also stipulates that the sale will be free of any liens or claims that could affect the title and notably exempts the transaction from requiring approvals from the Department of the Treasury, Department of Education, or the State House Commission, as well as any further legislative approval beyond the passage of this act.
