This bill mandates the sale of a 10.01-acre parcel of land and improvements known as the Morris Regional Day School, located at 5 Jean Street in Morris Township, Morris County, to the Morris County Educational Services Commission. The Attorney General is tasked with executing the sale for a nominal fee of one dollar, ensuring that the property is conveyed in an "as is" condition, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. The bill also stipulates that if there are discrepancies between the property description in the bill and the tax map, the Attorney General must consult with the governing body of Morris County to rectify this before the sale.
Additionally, the bill exempts the sale from requiring approvals from the Department of the Treasury, Department of Education, or the State House Commission, as well as any further legislative approval beyond the passage of this act. The Attorney General is responsible for completing the sale within 90 days of the act's effective date and must obtain a survey and inventory of the property within 30 days. The conveyance will be free of any liens or claims that could affect the title.
