The primary responsibility of the commission is to develop a comprehensive master plan to address the needs of individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. This plan will encompass various measures, including improving healthcare quality, ensuring sustainable funding, supporting caregivers, and preventing abuse. The commission is required to submit the master plan to the Governor and the Legislature within two years of appointing a majority of its public members. The bill will take effect immediately, and the commission will dissolve 60 days after the plan's submission.
