Applicants will pay a $50 initial fee, along with a $10 annual renewal fee, both of which will contribute to a newly established Support Our Veterans License Plate Fund. Instead, the Veterans Haven Council or its designated entity must contribute up to $25,000 to cover these initial expenses. The bill includes provisions for the chief administrator to certify the average cost of the plates annually, with the potential to discontinue the program if costs exceed the initial fee for two consecutive years.
