This bill authorizes county vocational school districts with automotive programs to partner with private entities to create electric vehicle certification programs. These programs will focus on identifying necessary skills, developing training curricula, and preparing students for careers in various electric vehicle-related fields, such as automotive technology, engineering and design, and maintenance and repair. Upon successful completion of the training, students will receive an electric vehicle certification from the county vocational school district.

Additionally, the bill allows these school districts to review national standards set by different industries and consult with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities while developing their electric vehicle certification programs. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
